KNOW YOUR EVACUATION and FLOOD ZONE! In the event of a storm, you may have to evacuate your home

and travel to a safer location.

  • It only takes about six inches of fast-moving flood water to sweep a person off their feet, just one foot of water can move a car off the road and 3 feet of floodwater to sweep a car away .

  • Check your policy for flood insurance. Homeowner’s insurance policies typically do not cover damage from floods. For more information go to: www.floodsmart.gov website or call (888) 379-9531)
