Breathtaking Backyard Secret

“Life should be lived so vividly and so intensely that thoughts of another life, or of a longer life, are not necessary.” -- Marjory Stoneman Douglas
Drive west a little bit on PGA Boulevard. Just after Mirasol, at 8311 PGA Boulevard in Palm Beach Gardens to be exact, you will find nature at her most pristine and enchanting - the stunning Loxahatchee Slough. Palm Beach County Environmental Resources Management provided an amazing day in the water (VERY socially distant, as you can see!).
All of the public-use facilities at Loxahatchee Slough, Palm Beach County's largest natural area, are open! There is a paved walking trail that leads from the parking lot to a wetland observation platform. The main entrance allows easy access to the Ocean-to-Lake Hiking Trail. A kiosk in the parking lot provides information about the plants and animals found in the natural area. Be sure to pick up a trail guide from the box attached to the kiosk.

Now, scroll down (all the way down for video), sit down, relax and enjoy...

My goal for 2021 is to visit all 33 PBC ERM sites!
