Your Hometown Mayor

Chelsea Reed, Mayor of Palm Beach Gardens, loves everything about the lifestyle in her native state of Florida and her hometown of Palm Beach Gardens. Chelsea and her husband of 29 years, have raised their two children and built their careers in Palm Beach County. While serving her hometown, she is also the Principal Consultant for Smith Reed Partners, assisting executives with advancement and career change.


She is the 2023 Distinguished Alumni Award recipient for the Benjamin School, recipient of a 2023 Home Rule Hero Award from Florida League of Cities, the 2022 Public Sector Leadership Excellence Award Winner, the 2022 Complete Streets Champion for Palm Beach County, and was 1 of 20 nationally chosen elected officials for the 2021-22 Smart Growth America Champions Institute. She was recently chosen as one of the 2023-2024 Palm Beach 100 - Palm Beach County’s Most Influential Business Leaders, by Palm Beach Illustrated.

Chelsea prides herself on her accessibility, transparent communication, and dedication to her community, supporting a strong economy and healthy business climate for residents, while encouraging sustainably and maintaining Palm Beach Gardens’ 50% greenspace.


She enjoys providing professional and student mentorship and is a popular public speaker. In her free time, she is a trail and ultra-relay runner, adventure traveler and water sport athlete.
